So I was working in the studio one day, feeling sorry for myself, when I suddenly got this phone call, and the guy told me I was selected to be the resident artist at NASA. I said, 'Well what does that mean "artist in residence", what can I offer a bunch of scientists?', and he said, 'I don't know either'.
Turns out scientists and artists have a lot more in common than one would think. Neither of them knows what is it they're looking for and they both start out with a set of tools and try to come closer towards that certain something.

Hum..."what can I offer a bunch of scientists?" This interrogation by Laurie Anderson is expected from someone that,at the time, didn't know scientific work. Science has in fact many resemblanses with art. It needs a background, something you can work on. You cannot make music without knowing the sound, the different languages of the different instruments. As in science :) Different tools, some objective. beyond that both are rich in creativity. A scientist without it cannot ever pursuit the unknown. As in art we create something that didnt exist in a form of sound, or painting, or words. Art and Science are the two faces of the same coin :) Although a scientist as a little bit more :p An artist is not a scientist but a scientist can also be an artist :)
